PARKING DEMAND ASSESSMENTS
Whether you are wanting to open a new business such as a Medical Centre or Café/Restaurant, or a residential Apartment complex, Councils want to be sure that you have enough car parks on site to cater for the parking required for your development.
Clause 52.06 in each Councils Development Control Plans (DCP) outlines how many car spaces are required depending on the development type.
In most cases your proposed development will have a shortfall in the number of car park spaces required and this is where Archer Consultants can assist as Council will require what is called a Parking Demand Assessment report.
In this report our qualified Traffic Engineers will justify the car parking shortfall in your proposed development using a range of information and tools gathered about your site.
To date, we have never had one of these reports refused by Council so you can be safe in the knowledge that we have the experience and skills to get your proposed development approved by Council.
